Event Fact Sheet: Saturday, January 9th – Round #4

Round 4 is the season finale of the 6th annual Baja Cup Challenge Series! Traditionally held once a year in December for the past 5 years, the Baja Cup Challenge had multiple visits to the famed Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, CA this year. This race has provided some of the most exciting and thrilling racing on dirt, while receiving praise from race drivers regarding the track layout. The Glen Helen Baja Cup Challenge has been host to many race classes and race drivers, from beginners to the Elite Professionals.
Gate Fees: $15 for Adults, $10 for Children (6-12yrs. old) and free for Children 5yrs. and under. Pit area access is FREE for teams, families and spectators. Overnight camping is FREE on Friday night for race teams.
Race Classes: All desert classes for trucks and buggies, Protrucks, UTV’s and Trophy Karts
Race Entry Fees: $300 for trucks and buggies, $50 for UTV’s and Trophy Karts
Payback: 66% payback for all truck and buggy classes
Course Layout: Race course is approximately 4.5 miles in length with varied terrain
Unique Features: The new split format will allow teams a perfect testing opportunity, a chance to work on the race vehicles and the ability to switch drivers during the break. Teams can utilize the Baja Cup for real race testing and have a chance to win the event purse with a very affordable entry fee.
Oversize Race Hauler Access: If you are planning on bringing a semi or large motorhome with a large trailer, please call for the easiest access gate information.

Friday Schedule – Jan. 8th – Move in Day
Gates Open: Friday, Jan. 8th at 2pm for move-in and pit set-up
Registration Open: Located in the Main tower, by the National MX track for Driver sign-up and check-in from 2pm – 6pm
Gates Close: Friday, Jan. 8th at 10pm until Saturday morning
Saturday Schedule – Jan. 9th – Move in & Race Day
Gates Open: Saturday, Jan. 9th at 6am for move-in and pit set-up
Registration Open: Located in the main mower, near the main grandstands for Driver sign-up and check-in from 7am – 11am.
Tech & Safety Inspection: Located in the main pit area (south lot), tech services provided by Art Savedra and the ARTS Tech Team from 7am – 12pm.
Race Course Pre-run: Track opens for all drivers and vehicles (helmets and safety belts required) for a controlled-speed pre-run. NO RACING! Anyone racing or at race speed will be removed from the track. Pre-run from 7am – 9am
Drivers Meeting: Located in the main pit area (at tech area in south lot) at 9am
Trophy Karts: Located on the off road short course track adjacent to the main pit area. Practice from TBA, racing from TBA.
Truck & Buggy Race #1A: Starting on the main national MX track, racing from 10am – 11am (race duration 1 hour; including ½-1600, 5, 5-1600, 6, 7, 7s, 8s, 9, 11, Stock Trucks and Prerunners)
Truck & Buggy Race #2A: Starting on the main national MX track, racing from 11:15am – 12:15pm (race duration 1 hour; including Class 1, Class 1-Lites, 8, 10, 12 and Trophy Trucks)
Truck & Buggy Race #1B): Starting on the main national MX track, racing from 12:30pm – 1:30pm (race duration 1 hour; including ½-1600, 5, 5-1600, 6, 7, 7s, 8s, 9, 11, Stock Trucks and Prerunners)
Truck & Buggy Race #2B: Starting on the main national MX track, racing from 1:45pm – 2:45pm (race duration 1 hour; including Class 1, Class 1-Lites, 8, 10, 12 and Trophy Trucks)
UTV Race: Starting on the main national track, racing from 3pm – 3:30pm (race duration ½ hour)
Spectator Areas: Several excellent spectator areas are available for viewing. Please stay within the designated spectator areas and do not enter or stand near the race course. Designated areas include: the main grandstand area and fence line, main pit area, on the hill next to the back motocross track and in the overnight parking area.
