RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR HYR 6HOUR ENDURANCE RACE SERIES Round #1
RACE STARTS AT 8:30 am March 21, 2010– ENDS AT 2:30pm

PLEASE READ
PITS & BIKE EXCHANGE:
Located in Amateur Pit area. Impound is located at the beginning of
the pits on the top the amateur road by the REM Tower. Scoring will be at the REM tower
*Allowed what will fit in your assigned pit location -
*YOU MUST ONLY USE THE ALLOWED AREA. You may camp your the pit area.
*You will be assigned a pit area at time of sign up.
*Riders may pit or change riders at any time.
* You must work on bikes at your pit location
* SPEED LIMIT MANDATORY at 5 MPH IN PITS. If you exceed the speed limit you may be disqualified

IMPOUND:
*All Teams may use 2 bikes 3 Riders–or Ironman has 2 bikes one rider one bike remains in the impound at all times
*ALL TEAMS MUST HAVE SAME TEAM NUMBER ON BOTH BIKES, FRONT & LEFT AT THE VERY LEAST!
* One bike must be in impound at all times (If two bikes are being used)
*Transponders on the bike- each time you switch bikes move the transponder to the new bike
* You and your team may not work on the bike in the impound area.

WATER AND TRACK
*We will have water trucks throughout the race track watering.
*If you see a quad with a yellow flagg waving water truck is ahead please proceed with caution
*The course consists of several different terrains etc. Please be careful the first lap to learn the track *DO NOT CUT THE COURSE!! WE HAVE A NEW TRANSPONDER SYSTEM THAT WILL BE USER TO CATCH COURSE CUTTING. STAY ON THE COURSE!!!!!!

ENTRY FEES:
Team Entries - $90 Pre www.glenhelen.com or $100 Post
Ironman $45 Pre 0r $ 50 Post
NO MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED


SCORING AND REGISTRATION:
*All Riders must register at the Sign-Up Tower. Located on Friday at national tower/Sat REM Tower.
*Transponders will be also used – The cost is $100 – If you only want to rent transponder
the will be a $100 deposit and you will $75 back after the event
*TRANSPONDERS will be mounted on your bike!
*Computer scoring is used. We will try to have the results
1 Hour after the race. 25% Trophies-will be mail to you 3 weeks after the event.

HYR ENDURANCE SERIES POINT SYSTEM

Rider of record carries the points from each round. The rider of record is determined by team. The rider of record can add riders for each event, as long as the riders are in the same riding classification, they signed-up in.

The class winners are determined by the highest amount of points they received over the 3 race series. You must race all three rounds to be considered an over all winner. The final round, 24 hours of Glen Helen, is for double points.

The point system is as follows these points are for the entire team.

1st 25 pts
2nd 22 pts
3rd 20 pts
4th 19 pts
5th 18pts
6th 17pts
7th 16pts
8th 15pts
9th 14pts
10th 13pts
11th 12pts
12th 11pts
13th and up 10pts
